But for recordings from the 1930s to the 1980s, it is often <strong>the best available source<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why? Original vinyl pressings were pressed directly from the studio master \u2013 before the CD era, before digital remasters, before the Loudness War. The original mastering, as it was intended.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-unser-vinyl-digitalisierungs-workflow\">Our Vinyl Digitization Workflow<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-schritt-1-originalpragungen-beschaffen\">Step 1: Obtain Original Pressings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We specifically look for first pressings and early editions. Why? Later re-pressings often come from worn matrices or have been re-mastered for &#8220;modern ears&#8221;.  <br\/><br\/>Example: A 1975 ECM jazz record. The original pressing has more spaciousness and dynamics than any later remaster. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-schritt-2-ultraschallreinigung-degritter-mark-ii\">Step 2: Ultrasonic Cleaning (Degritter Mark II)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Decades-old dirt sits deep in the grooves. Normal brushes remove dust from the surface, but not the grime that has been stuck for 40 years. <br\/><br\/><strong>Therefore: Degritter Mark II ultrasonic cleaning.<\/strong><br\/><br\/>How it works:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>40 kHz ultrasonic waves<\/strong> create micro-bubbles in the water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These bubbles <strong>implode in the grooves<\/strong> and loosen dirt \u2013 without mechanical contact<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vacuum drying<\/strong> prevents water spots<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Result: Records as clean as the day they were pressed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Cost: ~\u20ac3,000. Is it worth it? Absolutely. The difference between a brush-cleaned record and an ultrasonically cleaned one is immediately audible \u2013 less crackle, more detail.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-schritt-3-digitalisierung-192-khz-24-bit\">Step 3: Digitization (192 kHz \/ 24 Bit)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The cleaned record is scanned with high-quality cartridges. The analog signal goes directly into professional audio interfaces. <br\/><br\/><strong>No vintage fetish:<\/strong> We don&#8217;t want a &#8220;warm tube coloration&#8221;. We want the signal as it is. Therefore: a clean, linear signal path.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-schritt-4-keine-digitalen-entknacker\">Step 4: No digital &#8220;de-cracklers&#8221;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are plugins that remove crackle and pops from vinyl digitizations. We don&#8217;t use them. <br\/><br\/>Why? These tools not only remove interference \u2013 they also destroy the stereo image and strip the music of its subtleties. That&#8217;s a poor compromise.  <br\/><br\/>Instead: Perfect cleaning before digitization. Then occasional crackle is not a problem \u2013 it&#8217;s part of the analog authenticity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-schritt-5-429-hz-stimmung\">Step 5: 429 Hz Tuning<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Every track \u2013 whether from vinyl or Hi-Res file \u2013 is individually tuned to 429 Hz. This is a physically sound tuning between Baroque (415 Hz) and modern standard (440 Hz). <br\/><br\/>The effect: Music sounds minimally deeper, more relaxed, more natural.<br\/><br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/motherearthradio.de\/en\/429-hz-concert-pitch\/\">\u2192 More about 429 Hz<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fur-neue-releases-vinyl-oder-hi-res-files\">For new releases: Vinyl or Hi-Res Files<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Even with current music, the best available source wins.<br\/><br\/>If an album is released as a high-quality vinyl pressing \u2013 like many ECM releases or audiophile editions \u2013 we buy the record and digitize it.
