The Philosophy
Vinyl is the First Copy
There is only one step between the recording in the studio and the record. No digital conversion, no compression, no loudness war. The groove preserves what was played.
This is the generation that counts. We digitize this first copy with audiophile equipment. 24 bit, 192 kHz. So you get what the artists recorded – before the industry flattened it.
429 Hz: the Physical Tuning
Most music is tuned to 440 Hz. That’s convention, nothing more. We tune to 429 Hz – the standard tuning pitch based on physical fundamental frequencies.
No esotericism. Physics. You hear it. Deeper. More natural. As if the music were breathing.
Each track is individually retuned. By hand. It takes time. But it makes the difference.
High-Resolution Means: Everything Stays In
The music industry compresses. MP3, AAC – everything gets smaller, handier, deader. We go the other way.
FLAC Lossless. No losses. The full dynamics. This means: quiet passages remain quiet, loud passages do not break off. The music can unfold.
You don’t need a golden cable for that. But good speakers or headphones help. Then you hear what other stations throw away.

About Florian Reiterer
Florian Reiterer (*1974, Munich) is the founder and curator of Mother Earth Radio.
Musical roots
Born as the son of state actor Herbert Rhom-Reiterer (Residenztheater Munich) and prima ballerina Puck Oosthoek (Staatstheater Innsbruck), music was part of his life from the beginning. He started playing the piano at the age of seven and tried out all the stringed instruments over the years. His main instrument became the bass – today he plays instruments by Luthier Carl Thompson, known as “The Stradivari of Bass Guitar”, as well as an upright double bass.
30 years of audio engineering
After training at SAE Munich (1994), Florian started as a Digidesign Customer Support Technician for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (1995-98). During this time, he supported audio professionals with complex Pro Tools workflows.
As an engineer at Polyester Studio Munich with Axel Kröll, he converted a Digidesign ProControl control room into a 5.1 Pop Music Mixing Studio – then cutting-edge technology for surround productions.
Since the 2000s, Florian has worked as a sound engineer and jingle producer at Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR Funkhaus Munich), where he operates sound design and audio production at the highest technical level.
Why Mother Earth Radio
In 2020, Florian founded Mother Earth Radio out of a personal mission: to preserve the craftsmanship and authenticity of music that is lost in modern streaming services.
With his expertise in high-resolution audio engineering, he digitizes vinyl records with professional technology (Degritter ultrasonic cleaning, audiophile equipment) and streams them in 192 kHz/24-bit FLAC – tuned to 429 Hz.
Mother Earth Radio is the result of over 30 years of audio expertise, a lifelong passion for music and the desire to present music as it should sound.
