2. Overview

Mother Earth Radio is an ad-free high-resolution internet radio. This website provides information about our program and our apps. We collect as little personal data as possible and completely refrain from tracking, analysis tools, and advertising.

3. Hosting and Content Delivery

3.1 Web Server

This website is hosted on a dedicated server by Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany). Each time this website is accessed, the web server automatically collects:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of access
  • Requested page or file
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Browser type and operating system
  • Referrer URL

This data (server log files) is technically necessary to deliver the website and ensure the security of its operation. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and functional website). The log files are automatically deleted after 14 days. No merging with other data sources takes place.

Data Processing Agreement: A data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR exists with Hetzner. All data is processed exclusively in Germany.

3.2 Content Delivery Network (Cloudflare)

To speed up page delivery and protect against attacks, we use the Content Delivery Network from Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Requests are routed through Cloudflare’s servers, whereby the visitor’s IP address is transmitted to Cloudflare.

Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Furthermore, we have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes the data according to our instructions and deletes it after a short period.

4. Audio Streaming

Our radio programs are received via our self-operated streaming infrastructure (AzuraCast) on the same Hetzner server. When an audio stream is accessed, the listener’s IP address is technically processed and logged in server log files. No registration, login, or personal evaluation of listening behavior takes place.

Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the technical operation of the streaming service).

5. Cookies

This website exclusively uses one technically necessary cookie:

wp-wpml_current_language — stores the selected language version of the website (e.g., “de”, “en”). This cookie is set when the language is changed and deleted after 24 hours. It contains no personal data and serves exclusively for correct language display.

In addition, WordPress sets a session cookie if you log in as an administrator. No other cookies are set for regular website visitors.

Since only technically necessary cookies are used, no consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR is required. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

6. No Tracking, No Analysis, No Advertising

This website uses:

  • no analysis or statistics services (no Google Analytics, no Matomo, no comparable tools)
  • no advertising networks or remarketing services
  • no social media plugins with data transfer
  • no embedded content from third-party providers that independently collect data

Links to external services (YouTube, Instagram, App Stores) open in a new window. Their respective privacy policies apply only when these pages are accessed.

7. Contacting Us

If you contact us by email or phone, the data you provide (name, email address, content of the message) will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry. This data will not be shared without your consent. Processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (pre-contractual measures or contract fulfillment) or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries). Your data will be deleted as soon as the inquiry has been fully processed and no legal retention obligations prevent deletion.

8. Apps

For our mobile and desktop applications (Android, iOS/macOS, Windows), a separate privacy policy applies, which is linked in the respective App Stores and can be viewed at https://www.iubenda.com/privacy-policy/78136831.

9. SSL/TLS Encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the browser’s address bar changing from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock symbol in your browser bar.
